Welcome to the Microscopic Worlds Workshop!
Date: Wednesday 9th August 2pm -4pm
Location: Northam Burrows Country Park Centre (Education Room)
Join Arts Practioner Grace Rodgers for a fascinating journey into the microscopic world of Northam Burrows Country Park and the mighty Pebbleridge, which runs for 2 miles along Westward Ho! Beach in North Devon.
This hands-on workshop will allow you to explore the tiny organisms and materials that are usually invisible to the naked eye. Using hand-held digital microscope cameras, we will discover the intricate details of the creatures and materials within the local environment.
Through this process we will look at the amazing diversity that exists at Northam Burrows, and we will use our images of these discoveries to inspire us to create a piece of artwork to take home - so that we can be reminded of the wonders within our vast landscape! The workshop will be lead by Arts Practitioner Grace Rodgers (MA Arts and Place).
Suitable for ages 8 - 80 years! *under 16's must be accompanied by an adult
The Microscopic Worlds Workshop lasts for 2 hours and promises to be an eye-opening experience for everyone. Don't miss out on this opportunity to see Westward Ho! in a whole new way!
