Prerequisites:
- A computer with Microsoft Excel installed and a stable internet connection for live online sessions.
- Computer literacy: Learners should be comfortable with general computer operations. This includes navigating the operating system, launching applications, opening and saving files from emails and using Microsoft Teams.
In Excel, learners should understand the following:
- Creating and saving workbooks, and navigating worksheets
- Basic Data Entry Skills: Learners must be comfortable at entering, editing, and deleting data within worksheets. This includes knowledge of cell selection, copying, pasting, cutting, and using undo/redo features.
- Formatting Basics: Participants should be able to apply basic formatting to cells, columns, and rows. This encompasses changing font styles, sizes, and colours; adjusting cell alignment; applying borders and shading;
- Basic Formula Knowledge: Users should understand how to create and edit simple maths calculations in Excel. Familiarity with basic functions such as SUM is beneficial but not essential.
