Microsoft Teams Training – An Introduction to Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams Training – An Introduction to Microsoft Teams

Actions and Detail Panel

Microsoft Teams is a collaborative tool that allows us to work together, whether this be via a quick Chat conversation, hosting Team meeting

About this event

Microsoft Teams has already been used widely across the charity and has formally replaced StarLeaf as our conferencing tool since April 2022.

To support you in using the Microsoft Teams app, together the L&D Team and IT Team have organised some virtual training sessions to familiarise yourself with some of the functions available in MS Teams.

An Introduction to Microsoft Teams session will cover:

• Setting up meetings (Internal and External)

• Managing Teams meetings

• Using PowerPoint Live

• Changing meeting options

• Understanding participant types within a Teams meeting

• Including polls and voting with Forms in your Teams meetings

• Brief overview of Teams/Channels and accessing documents within teams and channels (soon this will be replacing the S:Drive)

• Q&A session

Who is the Training for?

Employees that use the Teams app on a regular basis are welcome to attend. Please consider the following:

• Do I want to host my meetings via teams?

• Do I attend meetings via teams and want to learn more about the functionality?

• Do I access or manage files and folders through the S:Drive? - In the near future these documents, files and folders will be held within MS Teams. A further communication will be sent regarding this in the near future.

To be able to engage in this training you will need to access the Microsoft Teams app through a device, mobile phone, laptop etc.

*You will be invited to attend the Training via an Outlook invite the day before - please use a diary marker in the meantime to protect the time*
