✨ Workshop Overview:

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with an immersive cultural experience! Join us at Chá-Fé for a special double workshop where you'll create traditional snowskin mooncakes and handcraft your own glowing calligraphy bamboo lantern.

🥮 Part 1: Snowskin Mooncake Workshop (17:00–18:00)

Led by Winnie & Theo from @too.muchsugar, this hands-on class will guide you through making traditional snowskin mooncakes from scratch. You'll learn how to:

• Prepare delicate mooncake pastry
• Make delicious fillings like salted egg yolk custard and pandan custard/fruit
• Shape your mooncakes using traditional moulds

You’ll Take Home:

• 4–6 handmade snowskin mooncakes
• A recipe card to recreate them at home

Allergen Note: This class uses gluten, dairy, and eggs. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate substitutions for these ingredients.

✒️ Part 2: Chinese Calligraphy Lantern Class (18:10–19:40)

Unwind in the warm atmosphere of Chá-Fé as you dive into the art of Chinese calligraphy with May Chan (@InkJoyGraphy). You'll learn:

• Basic and advanced brushstroke techniques
• Character structure and writing styles
• How to decorate a bamboo lantern with your calligraphy

You’ll Take Home:

• Your own calligraphy-adorned glowing bamboo lantern
• A newfound appreciation for Chinese artistic tradition

About the Instructor:

May Chan is a seasoned calligraphy artist with over 20 years of experience, having worked with The British Museum, Jo Malone, and Givenchy.
