Day 2 - Monday 22nd September 2025 10.00am-3.00pm

This course is aimed at anyone new to the head of science role or anyone thinking of going for promotion over the next year. Working with experienced science leaders, you will develop your vision and leadership skills to enable you to lead an effective and vibrant science team. By improving your leadership and management skills you will help your team teach more effectively so students achieve their potential. The course will also include a section on applying for promotions – what headteachers are looking for, and on challenging conversations – how to hold your team to account.

Here's what a graduate from last year’s course said

“I really can’t thank you both enough for the wonderful course we have just completed. It’s probably been the most useful CPD I have ever done. I really appreciate it – thank you!”
