Derbyshire Wildlife Trust invite you to join us at the 'Restore Nature Now' march.

The 'Restore Nature Now' march is a chance for thousands of people to walk together peacefully with one aim – to tell the Government we urgently need action for a more secure future for our wildlife, our planet and ourselves.

This legal, peaceful, inclusive and family-friendly demonstration aims to be the biggest gathering of people for nature and climate that the UK has ever seen. It is both a celebration of British nature and a protest calling for urgent political action on the nature and climate emergencies.

We will be providing a coach for staff, volunteers, members and supporters to travel down from Derbyshire to London. Will you be joining us?

Logstics

7.45 am meet at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust Car Park Sandy Hill, Main Street, Middleton, Derbyshire, DE4 4LR
8.00am planned coach departure from Middleton
Midday Expected arrival London
Between midday and 1pm we will join the walk from Park Lane. This will be a slow paced walk covering less than 2 miles and should take around an hour
2.30pm the walk will end at Parliament Square where there will be central ‘rally’ with some well-known names and faces speaking to marchers about the changes we need to finally turn the tide for the environment and Restore Nature Now!
5 pm meet back at the coach
8.30 pm expected arrival back at DWT

What is the cost?

The suggested donation amount is £20 per seat which will cover the costs of the coach. However if you are not in a position to donate £20 then please give what you can from as little as £1, as it is more important that you come along to support!

Why is it happening?

All across the UK, our wildlife and wild places are under threat. We no longer hear the iconic calls of the cuckoo or the skylark where they previously sang loud and proud. Our rivers are full of sewage, our oceans full of fish dying in massive amounts of waste. This is not the UK we want to live in.

What should I bring?

Good comfortable shoes and weather dependent clothes for what ever the British weather throws at us from sun cream to waterproofs! If you can come in fancy dress or bring bright colourful banners, flags or mobile props, all the better!

Bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
