Middleway Words Book Festival
Event Information
About this event
Welcome to Middleway Words, the online book festival showcasing Midlands-based writers; those who live next door to you, buy their groceries at the same shops as you and choose their books from the same libraries and the same small town bookstores.
We want to introduce you to a selection of authors working across a wide range of genres and hope you will discover new names and new titles. We will also show you how an idea becomes a draft; how the draft becomes a book; and how this book then gets on to the library or bookstore shelf.
Below is the link to the Festival programme, featuring a series of informal ‘tete-a-tetes’, where two local writers will talk about their lives, work and books, with the opportunity for readers to ask them direct questions.
There will also be talks by a bookseller, a librarian and a publisher. We hope you will join us for short sessions on creative writing – for children and adults – and all our events will be book-ended by panel discussions on the first and last days of the Festival.
We look forward to seeing you in the audience in September!
Yours,
Ignaty Dyakov-Richmond and The Team
