Getting Extra Help at School


This two hour workshop is for parent/carers of autistic children or adults based in the Midlands. This workshop focuses on what additional help autistic children are entitled to in educational settings.


Our Getting Extra Help at School workshop will cover:


  • Understanding the SEN Code of Practice
  • The assess, plan, do, review cycle
  • EHC needs assessments
  • EHCPs
  • Annual reviews
  • Reasonable adjustments

Join this workshop to meet other local parents and develop your understanding around autism. This workshop will be held on Zoom. If you prefer to not be visible or audible on screen that is fine by us. This workshop is delivered by people with lived experience of autism.

What is a Peer Educator?

Our Peer Educators facilitate our online workshops and 1:1 support. They have lived experience of autism, whereby they are either autistic themselves and/or are a parent or carer of an autistic person. They have personal experience and may also have professional experience too.
