The Midlands Engine initiative aims to boost economic growth across the region through enhanced trade and investment. This is your chance to meet thousands of key contacts at Arab Health, the largest healthcare event in the Middle East.

Arab Health is the second largest healthcare exhibition and congress in the world and the largest in the Middle East. Taking place at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre in Dubai, it offers an excellent platform on which to build relationships within the healthcare industry, to showcase progress and achievement in the sector, and to explore new opportunities with stakeholders in the healthcare field.

Visitor numbers are expected to reach 101,000+ in 2017, with over 160 UK exhibitors expected at the UK Pavilion alone - 2,500sqm dedicated to the UK, providing unparalleled visibility for UK companies.

By joining the Midlands Engine Group led by experienced Midlands based trade advisers, you will be able to visit the show and participate in pre-arranged 1 to 1 meetings with overseas commercial advisers and buyers. You will also have the opportunity to take part in the additional activity arranged by DIT, including a networking reception and several optional site visits.

Cost, Eligibility and Grants

A commitment fee of £170+VAT for all delegates will cover some in-market event costs, but delegates need to meet their own flight and accommodation costs. This fee will pay for a number of aspects of the in-market programme. Any extra delegates wishing to participate from the same organisation will be charged an additional £100 + VAT per delegate.

The market visit is open to all Midlands exporters, and if you are an SME you may be eligible for a travel grant of £450. Those wishing to receive the financial support must attend the market briefing meeting taking place in Dubai on Sunday 29th January.

12:00 Visit to NMC Hospital, Abu Dhabi and working lunch
13:30 Group transfer to Dubai
15:00 Visit to Dubai Healthcare City to meet Dubai Health Authority
17:30 In market briefing: Doing business in UAE, Legal and regulatory requirements, Routes to market
19:00 Optional opportunity to meet advisers to overview day and discuss objectives

Additional cost of £40 + VAT per organisation
Delegates who sign up to this event will meet key UAE buyers, distributors and decision makers. There will be the opportunity to deliver a 2 minute elevator pitch to the audience along with a chance to network, exchange business cards and possibly arrange further meetings.
