Event Details

The Midlands (including the East of England) as a whole is scheduled to receive more than £1.8billion through European funding for the period 2014-2020 of which a significant proportion is identified for social inclusion. The breakdown is the West Midlands receiving over £910 million, the East Midlands £700 million and the East of England nearly £300 million.

However the Midlands funding is allocated, it is crucial the VCS has a voice in shaping how and where money is invested.

Government has proposed that LEPs will play a key role in the next programme for European Structural Funds (2014 – 2020) by setting the strategic direction and framework for investments leading to growth through reducing poverty and creating jobs.

This event is your chance to hear about the programme, learn how the VCS can influence this and help set local priorities.

The hashtag for the event is #MidsLEPsVCS
