Event description

Description

Dear Tree Wardens,

BOOKINGS FOR THIS EVENT ARE NOW CLOSED. PLEASE PHONE GERALDINE ON 020 7407 9992 TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY CANCELLATIONS.

This year, The Tree Council’s annual Tree Warden Forum for the Midlands is kindly being hosted jointly by Coventry, Warwickshire and Leicestershire Tree Warden Networks.

The National Memorial Arboretum provides the venue for this year’s forum and we guarantee this is an event not to be missed.

With around 30,000 trees across this 150acres tie nestled in the National Forest, this site is rapidly growing into a unique living tribute. Embedded with the trees are 350 thought provoking memorials, each with their own story to be discovered. Diverse in nature and rich in symbolism this collection of memorials represents a broad population of society.

The programme is focused on Climate Change and what this means for trees and for tree wardens! There will be an update from the Pilot Advisory Board as well as The Tree Council on the latest national tree news as well as an opportunity to meet other networks and find out about other local projects and initiatives to inspire and enthuse you. After a buffet lunch there will be a tour of this fascinating and reflective arboretum, ending with a tea and cake.
