Event description
We look forward to welcoming you to the second of our Migration Network regional events, with Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums.

About this event

At this Migration Network event we aim to bring together people from museums, cultural and academic organisations working on migration and related themes to share best practice and learn from each other

This online event will be a mixture of case studies, discussion groups and networking opportunities.

There will be 3 case studies in the morning, a networking opportunity and then your choice of 5 discussion groups in the afternoon. We have a great range of content confirmed from museums, organisations and universities in Doncaster, Newcastle, Barnsley, Leeds, Sunderland and Northumberland. And attendees like yourselves will bring insights from many more places.

We will be in touch to ask you to give your preferences for the afternoon discussion group once you have registered via Eventbrite.

This event is open to all but most relevant for those working across the North-East and Yorkshire regions. We understand that it may be a challenge to commit to nearly a whole day online (albeit with generous breaks!) and appreciate that you might need to drop in and out during the day. So please sign up and join us for the sessions that you are able to.

We look forward to 'seeing' you at this event.

Organizer Migration Museum

Organizer of Migration Network North-East and Yorkshire event

The Migration Museum  is shining a light on the many ways that the movement of people to and from Britain across the ages has shaped who we are –as individuals, as communities, and as a nation. We are doing this through the creation of an inspiring national Migration Museum, a far-reaching nationwide education programme,  and a knowledge-sharing network of museums and galleries across the UK.

We are currently based at a venue in the heart of Lewisham Shopping Centre, south London.
