Join us for an evening with Mikey Please discussing the power of words and pictures, and his newest creation, Cave Downwind of the Café. Mikey Please’s talk will be followed by a Q&A with the audience and an opportunity to have your book signed.

Mikey Please is a BAFTA award-winning and OSCAR nominated animation director and writer based in London. He is an alumnus of Wimbledon School of Art, the Royal College of Art and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Mikey was named overall winner of the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2025 for his funny and immersive picture book The Café at the Edge of the Woods. He has also written and illustrated the Times Bestselling adult novel, The Expanded Earth, published in April 2025.
