Our Third Edition: Military vs Medicine - Part 2

Hosted by You Okay, Doc? psychotherapist Chris Cherry. 45 minutes of conversation followed by a 30 minute Q&A for everyone to get involved.

Two incredible industries that serve our country. Two industries with enormous pressures to perform, often at the expense of the individual. Two industries that can learn so much from each other to build a positive future.

Military and medicine are intensely rewarding careers. However, with this reward comes an enormous sense of responsibility. So much so, that the men & women who join to serve others often find themselves unable to cope.

Post-traumatic-Stress-Order is a very real, life-changing condition for millions of veterans. And it is sadly common amongst medical professionals, worsened exponentially by COVID-19. But with targeted, bespoke support, the long term impact can be minimised and, importantly, every person suffering never has to feel alone.

At You Okay, Doc?, we believe that military and medical professionals can learn so much from each other to make a positive change in supporting mental health.

In this second part of our Military vs Medicine webinar, we bring Brandon Young to explore with You Okay, Doc?'s psychotherapist, Chris Cherry, the unique pressures faced by the military and medics, how we can support the personnel of the future - how to recognise, deal with and prevent Post Traumatic Stress Order - and the big impact that Microsteps can have.

We are proud to provide this webinar free of charge to ensure everyone can access our support. As a charity, however, we rely on donations therefore please give what you can by texting DOCTOR to 70331 (£3), 70970 (£5) or 70191 (£20).
