Milk Report by Conway and Young: Film screening and Q&A
Overview
Milk Report is a short film by artists and designers Conway & Young, produced as part of Feed, a project about infant feeding and public space. Adapted from an original publication of the same name, it explores the politics and economics of care through the lens of feeding a baby, and the 720 hours Young spent doing so over a 6-month period. The 20-minute film focuses on the improvised, chaotic, interdependent and messy nature of reproductive labour.
Join us for a screening of the film in the exhibition Domestic Bliss, this will be followed by a Q&A with Conway and Young.
Conway and Young have collaborated as graphic designers, artists and educators since 2006. Working on commissioned and self-initiated projects, they are motivated by art and design’s critical, social, civic and political potential. They are interested in DIY, inclusive and discursive forms of production and practise and their work often serves as an invitation to create communities.
