Millbank Lunch: Blue State Digital
Tue 2 May 2017, 12:00 – 13:30 BST
Government communicators are well aware of the importance of digital channels to reach targeted audiences. This session will focus on how we can use digital channels for engagement and mobilisation - moving audiences beyond passive awareness towards advocacy and action. This is particularly important for issues-based campaigning and to drive behaviour change.
Please join Samir Patel, Managing Director of Blue State Digital UK, for a session on using digital and social tools to mobilise individuals and communities. Blue State Digital is the agency responsible for Obama's 2008 and 2012 digital and social campaigns, as well as work for UK clients including WaterAid, Google, and Tate Modern.
In this session, Samir will share best practice on:
- Understanding engagement, mobilisation and campaigning in a digital context
- Using data to understand and target audiences
- Using analytics to optimise content for maximum impact
This session is for all government communicators who need to create engaged communities, advocates, activists or action using digital tools.
