Event description

Description

Lune Valley Flood Forum and Lancaster City Council are running a drop-in event at The Storey, Lancaster to promote their drive to plant trees, lay hedges and recognise the benefits Natural Flood Management can have for the environment in the Lancaster district. There will be talks from Rod Everett on Natural Flood Management and the Northern Forest initiative from Hannah Marshall Woodland Trust.

We will also be having stalls where people can chat informally with people on issues like stewardship, NFM, flood management, land management, benefits of tree planting/hedge laying and the best places to plant trees. We have people attending from The Woodland Trust, RSPB, Natural England, AONB Forest of Bowland, Lune Rivers Trust and United Utilities. Lune Valley Flood Forum and Lancaster City Council will be there too.

It will be held at the Storey in Lancaster from 3-6: 30 pm on the 26th of September. Please come along
