We spend much of our lives caught up in our heads, racing thoughts, plans, worries. But wisdom lies in reconnecting with the quieter, subtler knowledge stored in our bodies. Mind and Body is a workshop designed to draw us back into physical awareness through music, movement, and imaginative play, so we can remember what our bodies have to teach us.
Throughout a lively and welcoming morning, we’ll explore how physical expression can illuminate our emotional lives. You’ll throw an imaginary ball, learn how music can help us process pain and joy, and try out a sculpting technique borrowed from family therapy, no artistic skill required, just a willingness to move and reflect. There’ll be guided grounding practices throughout to keep things calm and rooted.
Expect a warm and open atmosphere, full of candid sharing and moments of light-heartedness. As with all School of Life events, the workshop is about more than just exercises; it’s a chance to meet other curious-minded members and connect through the kind of conversations that rarely happen in everyday life.
Please note this event is for The School of Life Members and there are 25 spaces. To book both virtual and in-person events, use the event code you receive in your welcome email at checkout.
