In partnership with Northumberland National Park, each year we organise a guided walk along a section of Hadrian’s Wall as part of Mental Health Awareness Week in May. This is always a great fun day out, with a picnic stop and cake and tea at the end. This years 7 mile guided walk is a great way to raise funds to support our work whilst bringing attention to mental health and a great chance for those taking part to meet new people, enjoy the wellbeing benefits of walking, chatting in good company, learning the history of the area and all with wonderful views!
The walk, guided by Northumberland National Park Rangers, will start at the Sill, with a chance to visit the Northumberland National Park Makers Market before we set off along a section of Hadrian's Wall, Steel Rigg, sycamore gap, vindalonda and finishing back at The Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre for some cake and refreshments.
This year we hope to see some returning walkers and lots of new faces joining us to help raise funds and showcase the benefits of exercise and great company for our wellbeing. Book your place here or email fundraising@tynesidemind.org.uk for more information
