HEADLINERS

Hayah

Hayah's writing journey began in January 2019 and she has been performing poetry since March 2019. Since then Hayah has become a Flo poet and been blessed with headlining a variety of shows in London.

Hayah writes to heal herself and others. Exploring empowerment, freedom and raising awareness on issues such as homelessness and struggles that we all face today.

Through words she connects to strangers, spreading kindness & positivity. Love is always Hayah's message.

Writing has helped her explore many different sides of herself, the dark and light, which is why she encourage's everyone to try and write.

MOAK

MOAK is an spoken word artist from London best known for his raw, captivating and powerful pieces. His art covers various themes through his lens as a young black male. Using spoken word, which he describes as "a language to connect with people", MOAK guarantees to leave listeners with food for thought and a hunger for more material.

Far from artistic when growing up, MOAK developed an interest during his teens for battle rap, lyricism and spoken word which revealed a creative side of him he never knew existed. These particular influences explain his use of clever wordplay, punchlines and thought provoking lyrics.

Since picking up the pen MOAK has grown in his craft year on year which was recognised by the UK Entertainment Awards in 2018 when he was nominated for Best Poet of the Year. On 18th January 2019 MOAK released his debut EP ‘This Is Us’ which encapsulated the current experience and feelings of black people and the ethos behind why black lives matter. The highlight track on the project called ‘Barbershop’ was featured on BBC 6 Radio as part of Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing music show. Since then, MOAK has also tried his hand in the world of Battle Rap featuring on Art Of Rap UK’s battle league showing Rappers that Poets also can be devastating with their lyricism.

“Trust Your Voice” is an ideology MOAK has embodied making him who he is today and will continue to adopt in order to push the spoken word art form to another level.
