About Dancing in a Bubble
Aitor writes:
When I arrived in London 20 years ago I was looking for ways of meeting people and someone put a leaflet for ballroom dancing classes on my hand. I had never come across dancing, but I thought to give it a go. To my surprise, I did love ballroom and got from it far more than I would have hoped. When the COVID-19 crisis hit us it did more than just close all the dance halls in the country and put on hold the livelihoods of thousands of professionals: It left a big hole in our lives. But with a bit of ingenuity we managed to carry on and keep dancing!
Aitor and Magda have been living in the UK for over 20 years, after arriving from Spain and Germany respectively. Aitor works in Charing Cross Library (Westminster) and Magda for Nature magazine. They met on a dance floor somewhere under the bright lights of London and have been dancing together ever since.
