About this event
We're excited to announce our next 'Mindbuddy Online' course for Autumn-Winter 2025-6.
Mindbuddy Online is an 8-session virtual support group & course for people using a neuroplastic (mind-body) approach to treat chronic pain and other persistent symptoms that haven’t responded to conventional medical treatments.
Course provider
This course is offered by Living Proof, a UK-based not-for-profit that exists to raise awareness of the latest neuroscience behind many chronic symptoms - and raise hope for recovery. More information is available on the Living Proof website: www.livingproof.org.uk.
Course aims
Based on the ‘mindbuddy’ principle of group learning and peer support, we aim to provide a friendly and supportive space for:
- Learning more about the neuroplastic approach to recovery
- Peer-to-peer sharing, discussion and support
- Asking questions & receiving support from experienced facilitators and recoverees
Course content
Each session will include a brief presentation on an aspect of the neuroplastic approach to recovery - and content will build across the 8 sessions to create a roadmap for healing. The rest of the session will be devoted to small-group discussions where you can learn from others on a similar recovery journey.
Topics to be covered at the sessions include:
- Session 1 – Introductions & Course Overview
- Session 2 – Understanding Your Chronic Symptoms
- Session 3 - Embracing the Neuroplastic Approach
- Session 4 – Regulating Your Nervous System
- Session 5 – Retraining Your Brain
- Session 6 – Processing Emotions
- Session 7 - Managing Stress & Living Mindfully
- Session 8 – Supporting Your Ongoing Recovery & Wellness
Course dates
Session dates are listed below. They are all on Wednesdays at 6.30-8pm (UK time). Please make sure you are able to attend all 8 sessions as this is a group course and members will invest time in getting to know and support each other.
- Session 1 - Wednesday 1st October
- Session 2 - Wed 15th October
- Session 3 - Wed 29th October
- Session 4 - Wed 12th November

Course delivery
The 8 sessions will take place via Zoom and will be facilitated by Living Proof recovered volunteers. Group size will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants. All members will be invited to share thoughts and experiences but if you prefer not to share, that's totally fine. You can also choose to turn off your screen or take a break at any time (although we’d prefer you not to be ‘invisible’ for the whole session as the Mindbuddy principle centres on group participation 😊).
Eligibility: Mindbuddy Online is open to anyone based in the UK who is experiencing chronic symptoms and using the neuroplastic/ mind-body approach to recover.
To be eligible to join the course, you should have an existing understanding of the neuroplastic approach, and be at least 50% sure that the cause of your symptoms are neuroplastic (mind-body). You must have consulted your doctor to rule out structural / organic causes for your symptoms.
(Anyone less familiar with this approach is requested to familiarise themselves using available resources before signing up: https://www.livingproof.org.uk/resources.)
Please contact us if you have any questions prior to booking a ticket: sarah@livingproof.org.uk.
Please note: Before booking a space, participants must agree to the group guidelines, which are in place to ensure the group is a safe and supportive place for all – these appear on the booking page.
