About this event
The aim of these workshops is to create a community that comes together through art. There is no initial charge for booking. Participants will be invited to make a contribution at the end of each workshop. This is to promote a fully inclusive environment where the sense of community and opportunities for dialogue are the drive of the sessions.
In these coming sessions, we will be creating art inspired by the natural world. Nature returns us to our roots, bringing the artistic process back to basics. It allows us to find new meaning in the natural world and to strengthen a sense of belonging through connecting to the world and to each other. The natural world has been and still is a strong source of inspiration for artists.
Using the natural world as a starting point we will be connecting through the mindful process of creating art. Through developing artistic skills and developing artistic engagement we will be taking part in the creation of a community that fosters creativity and promotes self-expression, and wellbeing. Through improving technical and critical skills, participants will be invited into a safe space where inclusion, cultural exchange, and difference are celebrated.
These art workshops are designed for all levels of artistic practice including complete beginners.
The key technical aspects covered in this course are:
* Exploring a range of drawing and painting techniques
* Developing accuracy in observational drawing
* Exploring with a range of traditional and experimental painting and drawing tools
These sessions are relaxing and inspiring. Lose yourself in the creative hub of NuLa. All materials are provided and you will receive plenty of individual attention and guidance.
