Rediscover the art of writing through this unique workshop.

Join Clara from Painted Soul Studio for a relaxing and creative calligraphy workshop, where you will learn the basic strokes of modern callography combined with mindful practices and breathing exercises. This in-person event is perfect for beginners and art enthusiasts alike. The option will be to use either a dip pen with ink, or a brush pen, depending on preference.

You will be provided with all required materials and will be taken through basic calligraphy strokes and practice letters with a view to creating a final piece to take away and display or gift on. By combining mindful practices with the art of modern calligraphy, the skills learnt in this session can be taken home and used in everyday life.


Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

We will be using pots of ink for the session - which can always get a little messy! I recommend not wearing your best top / jumper just in case!

Do I need to have tried Calligraphy before?

Not at all! This session is perfect for beginners and there is plenty of time to learn the basics.

I have my own pen - can I bring it to use?

If you have your own dip pens please feel free to bring along and use them.

Do I need to bring anything in particular for the session?

You will be provided with all of the materials needed so no need to buy or bring anything especially. If you do however have your own project that you'd like advice on or to complete in the session, please feel free to bring it with you.
