This mindfulness training course consists of 8 x 2 hour sessions, running every Thursday evening 7 - 9pm from Sept 29th to Nov 24th. (Note we run the sessions over 9 weeks as we have a week off on the 27th October).
Secular mindfulness is presented in a practical and experiential way, making it relevant to daily life and helping you counterbalance the stress and starin of every day life. Underpinned by scientific reserach, the sessions will cover the theory and practice of mindfulness, showing techniques, exercises and guided meditations to help you learn mindfulness and apply it to your life. Each session is fully supported by guided CDs/MP3s for home practice and a comprehensive resource pack, along with support between sessions.
Some people start to learn mindfulness becuase they feel they worry or over think things too much, others becuase they just feel relentlessly busy and want to develop ways to develop a bit of calm in the midst of the business. Others come becuase they have heard about mindfulness and are curious as to what it can do for them. These are general population courses and so people will join the course for a variety of reasons.
