About this event

Mindful Materiality – Meaningful Making is an invitation to reflect on how architecture is discovered through the act of making. In this talk, architect Senthil Kumar Doss, co-founder of Play Architecture, shares over two decades of experimentation with materials such as stone, earth, and timber, exploring how they hold memory, meaning, and potential for regenerative futures.

The conversation will consider how boundaries of craft, tradition, and innovation can be tested through mindful engagement with matter - revealing architecture that is not imposed, but uncovered in dialogue with its materials and makers.

Hosted by The Stonemasonry Company at The Market Building in Clerkenwell as part of London Design Festival 2025, the event includes a presentation, Q&A, and an exhibition of Play Architecture’s works from 13 -21 September.
