Mindful Movement & Breath

Join us for a friendly wellbeing session that brings together simple mindful movement, breath, meditation and intention practices to ease the stresses and strains of everyday life and transition with ease from one season of the year, or of life, to the next.

Discover some simple practices of Qigong and Yoga, to help you ease tension from your physical body, and find peace in your mind.

Who is this session for?

It’s for people of all ages and genders, offering practical tools to help you feel calmer, more grounded, and better able to handle life’s ups and downs. No experience of Qigong or Yoga is needed—just an open mind and a willingness to give it a go.

What to Expect

A calming blend of mindfulness, movement, breath, and intention, inspired by Yoga and Qigong, with a lovely guided relaxation to finish.

-Everything will be simple and relaxed.

-We’ll do some practices seated, standing, and lying down.

-There will be no weight-bearing on hands and knees, so suitable for those with arthritis.

-Chairs will be available for anyone who wishes to use them.

What to Bring

Come as you are - wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in. You can practice barefoot, in socks, or in indoor shoes.

If you have one, bring a yoga mat, we’ll have plenty of spares. Anything you need to be cosy in the guided relaxation, a blanket or a cushion. You are welcome to bring your pillow for relaxation. Whatever you need to be comfy.

You are working with specific conditions, or any issues with mobility, or energy that affect your participation in the session. Please feel assured that you have full permission to take what you need from this session, and leave aside anything that doesn’t feel good to you.

About Maria

Maria leads friendly, welcoming and inclusive classes, courses and workshops in Yoga and Qigong in West Bridgford. Maria is Qualified in Yoga, Yoga with Qigong, Yoga with Pilates, Meditation, Menopause Yoga and Teen Yoga.

This session is for ages 18+ only.

Only one booking is permitted per person. Additional bookings may be cancelled to ensure fairness.

Please note: A small fee applies to this session to help support the Hub’s ongoing operation and sustainability. Your contribution enables us to continue providing a diverse range of wellbeing activities for the community - thank you for making this possible!

If you live in Rushcliffe, please purchase a General Admission ticket; if you’re outside Rushcliffe, select the Out of Area option. All bookings are non-refundable.
