Mindful Nature Sketching Workshop at Attenborough Nature Reserve

By Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust

Overview

Slow down, sketch, and reconnect with nature at our mindful nature sketching workshop at Attenborough Nature Reserve.

Join us for a calming and creative mindful nature sketching workshop led by green-sketching ambassador and local artist Lou Earnshaw. This gentle, inspiring session invites you to pause, look closely, and rediscover the beauty of the natural world through simple, grounding drawing practices.

Lou will guide you through a variety of approachable sketching methods designed to help you build confidence at your own pace. You’ll explore everything from capturing the delicate details of plants and textures to sketching the reserve’s sweeping landscapes - finding joy in both the tiny and the vast.

No previous experience is needed. All materials are provided, including a mini sketchbook for you to take home, so you can continue your mindful drawing journey long after the workshop ends.

The workshop is based on the reserve and in the conference room with beautiful views across the water. Refreshments are included, and you’ll have a lunchtime break with the option to purchase food from our onsite café.

Take time for yourself - breathe, observe, and let nature inspire your sketchbook.
