Join Yellow Beacon CIC for our FREE 8-week Mindful Resilience Course.
This course is for Stockport residents only -15 places available.
Yellow Beacon is a mental health professional and lived-experience led organisation offering trauma-informed mindfulness courses, workshops and 1 to 1 sessions across Greater Manchester. We are passionate about helping you grow your own inner resources for greater mental and emotional wellbeing.
Our FREE Mindful Resilience course will support you to:
- Reduce anxiety, stress, depression and low mood.
- Experience greater mental and emotional wellbeing.
- Understand how your nervous system responds to stress.
- Use mindfulness in daily life in an easy and effortless way.
- Develop positive traits in your brain.
- Learn how to work with your emotions.
- Be more able to flow with the ups and downs of life.
- Explore a range of mindfulness tools to discover what works best for you.
Course dates:
The course will run on Thursdays, from 1pm - 3pm each week at the Stockport Meeting House, 2 Cooper Street, SK1 3DW.

Booking information:
On receipt of your request for a place, we will forward you a questionnaire to complete so that we can assess your suitability for attending the course. This also helps us understand what you would like to gain from attending, and if there are any ways we can best support you to access the sessions. If you need assistance to complete the form, we will be happy to help. We will only be able to confirm your place once this process is complete.
In order to take care of psychological safety, we are unable to admit people to the course without a prior assessment taking place.
Places are limited and we ask that you commit to attending all eight sessions of the course.

Facilitator:
Kirsty is a mental health professional with ten years’ experience in the charity sector in Greater Manchester. She is an experienced mindfulness teacher, specialising in trauma-informed practices for mental wellbeing. She is passionate about helping people develop mindfulness skills in a trauma-informed way that supports stability and regulation. Kirsty is the neurodivergent founder of Yellow Beacon CIC.
Justine is a fully qualified, accredited counsellor and clinical supervisor who started her career as a youth worker and supported people across a range of sectors, before moving into private practice. Justine integrates mindfulness practices into her everyday life as well introducing mindfulness concepts to clients. She is also qualified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems therapy.
This 8-week Mindful Resilience course is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Frequently asked questions
The course is for up to 15 people.
The course is designed to help you build your skills gradually and places are limited, so we ask that you commit to attending each session to get the most out of the course.
We understand that people may miss a week due to unforseen circumstances such as illness, medical appointments, or if a school holiday falls within the 8 weeks. If you miss more than 2 sessions, we will withdraw your place and invite you to attend the next available course.

Unfortunately, no. The course is for adults aged 18 or over.
The venue is on the ground floor with accessible toilets. There are disabled spaces in the free car park.
