Mindful Self Compassion: An 8 Week Course In -Person (Bristol)
Overview
About the Course
Research shows that self-compassion is strongly linked with greater emotional well-being, reduced anxiety, depression and stress, healthier lifestyle habits, and more satisfying relationships. People who cultivate self-compassion experience an increased ability to self-soothe, and are more able to direct warmth, reassurance, and understanding toward themselves in difficult moments.
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) brings together the complementary skills of mindfulness and self-compassion.
- Mindfulness helps us stay present with our experience.
- Self-compassion encourages us to respond with kindness, acceptance and clarity during times of struggle.
Together, these practices support us in meeting life’s challenges with greater resilience, balance and care.
During this evidence-based program, you will learn how to:
- Motivate yourself with kindness rather than self-criticism
- Develop practical tools for managing difficult emotions
- Transform challenging relationships and cultivate goodwill
- Build a more supportive inner voice
- Practice savouring, gratitude and self-appreciation
