Peak District Mindful Walks, offered by Sangha in the Peak

On Saturday 11th November, Sangha in the Peak would like to invite you on a mindful walk with Sangha friends from Bamford, in the Peak District.

We will start in Bamford in the Hope Valley at 11:00am. This timing should enable those travelling by train from Sheffield or Manchester directions to arrive in time at the start.

Alternatively if you are driving, then a start will also be from nearby carparks and details will be sent to friends who sign up.

A choice of walks will be offered:

> a 3-4 miles flat walk beside Ladybower Reservoir or

> a 5-6 mile walk up Win Hill.

These will include silent slow mindful walking, mindful moments, perhaps mindful movements, rests and social time too.

This event is free and raising awareness and funds for the Being Peace Practice Centre. To offer dana for this event, follow our Plum Village JustGiving page where Gift aid could be offered.

Being Peace Practice Centre

The proposed centre will be a place of refuge, located in the countryside with good transport links and surrounded by nature. It will offer accommodation, camping, a meditation hall, and other indoor and outdoor spaces for retreats and mindful living as well as a Happy Farm.

With a year-round program of retreats, courses, and quiet space to experience mindfulness together, the Being Peace Practice Centre will be the first UK lay Plum Village centre managed by a lay community.
