Mindful Watercolour Painting at ARU
Join me for a relaxing evening of mindful watercolour painting at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. We will meet on Monday, September 1st and again on Monday, September 8th, from 6.30–8 pm with a little extra time to talk and tidy up- we have to leave the building by 8.30 p.m.
In each session, you will create two semi-abstract watercolour paintings, working on both pieces in turn to allow for gentle drying time. I will guide you step by step as we explore patterns, light strokes, and flowing designs to build semi-abstract landscapes or other calming scenes.
This is a mindful and creative class where there are no mistakes—just the joy of painting. It is a wonderful way to practise brush control, learn how to balance water and colour, and simply get to know your materials in a calm and supportive setting. The class is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with more experience who would like to enjoy a slower, more meditative approach.
Venue details:
The class takes place in Helmoor 119 (first floor, room 119). The room can be a little tricky to find, so at 6.30 p.m. I will meet everyone at the main reception and security office at the front of the building (East Road entrance). Please note that, at present, this room is only accessible by stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
I look forward to painting with you and sharing a calm and creative evening together.
