About this event
Finding ways to stay calm can be a challenge for young children and their parents!
Join us to explore how mindfulness could help bring some calm to family life.
This event will be open to Islington parents of children aged 1-5 years. It will feature group discussion with activities, participation will be encouraged.
Key topics of discussion:
- Learn what mindfulness is
- Think about applying mindfulness to parenting
- Try some mindful exercises to support parenting
- Test out some mindfulness activities you can do with your children
- Space to ask questions
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the idea of learning how to be fully present and engaged in the moment, aware of your thoughts and feelings without distraction or judgment. It can be helpful in managing stress, worry and uncertainty, as well helping you to make the most of everyday moments with your children.
Please Note: Only parents who live in Islington or have a GP in Islington are eligible to access this workshop. Only one ticket is needed per family to avoid double bookings. This workshop is only open to parents and not professionals.
Parents will be encouraged to keep cameras on and microphones off but will be asked to turn them on during discussions.
