About this event
Have chems, alcohol and/or other substances taken over your life? Do you struggle to assert your sexual boundaries and play safely? Do you want to bring your life back into balance?
MBCR is an intensive chemsex recovery programme that harnesses the power of meditation to help you achieve lasting change.
It’s non-judgemental, secular, evidenced-based and open to men aged 18+ who identify as gay or bisexual or who have sex with men.
- Establish a daily meditation practice to re balance your life and support recovery
- Develop awareness of your triggers and learn how to work with urges, compulsions and addictive behaviours
- Learn how to respond skilfully to challenging thoughts, feelings and emotions without needing to medicate against them
- Foster a non-judgemental, supportive and compassionate relationship with yourself and others
This Course would be most suitable for people who have received some prior support around their use of chems and whose use has stabilised. We ask all participants to have been sober for one month before the Course commences and invite them to continue to take a break from chems for the duration of the Course itself. If your circumstances are different to those outlined above please contact ben@ spectra-london.org.uk who will be happy to discuss your situation individually.
The course will take place Tuesday Evenings 7pm to 9pm online; commences September 1 and runs for 8 weekly Tuesday evening sessions, ending on 27 October (with a one week break on 29 September).
Online joining details will be sent out once confirmation of sign up is received.
Course cost of £50 (£25 concessions) is refunded on completion of course and final evaluation feed back.
