8 WEEK MINDFULNESS BASED COMPASSIONATE LIVING - FOLLOW ON COURSE FROM MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION

Over the years many people have asked me what comes next, following the completion of an 8 week Mindfulness Stress Reduction and Wellbeing course. They have appreciated being part of a supportive group and community and feel this is of benefit in sustaining their mindfulness practice. This year, 2016 I ran a Living Mindfully course 6 sessions spread out over the year. In 2017 I am introducing this 8 week course which is based on the work of Eric van Den Brink and Friz Kosner who have developed a programme that brings together compassion practices and Paul Gibert's compassion focused therapy approach to enable graudates of 8 week mindfulness based programmes to deepen their understanding of how compassion can offer ways to free ourselves from deeply held patterns. The course helps us get accuainted with the inner landscape of:
- The inner bully
- The compassionate friend
- The resources which help us find and maintain a stable and calm centre of gravity

Participants will be able to deepen their understanding of both compassion and mindfulness and how together they offer us ways to be kinder, more open and heartfelt in our lives.

Ariana is an experienced psychotherapist and trainer and has facilitated groups for many years
She has taught mindfulness in a variety of settings delivering 8 week MBCT courses for the general public as well as training health professionals psychotherapists and counsellors in this approach. She introduced mindfulness based training for students at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for performance anxiety and stress reduction in 2009 and is cofounder of Mindfulness in Higher Education ( see link below) www.mindfulnessforstudents.co.uk and is a Mindfulness supervisor for Mindfulness Network .
Ariana initially attended Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy teacher training with Professor Mark Williams and attended teacher trainings with Jon Kabat Zinn, Saki Santorelli and John Teasdale all founders of MBCTand MBSR. She abides by the UK Mindfulness teachers code of practice. She has been practicing yoga since she was a teenager and has been meditating for many years.
