Mindfulness for Children on the Autism Spectrum
Wednesday, 28 June 2017 from 18:00 to 19:00 (BST)
We are very excited to confirm our new Primary Mindfulness Program for children on the autism spectrum. Your child does not need to have an autism spectrum diagnosis.
These are small group sessions runs over 8 weeks on a Wednesday evening for children aged 7 to 11 in primary school. Later courses will run for older children. Please book your child on - whatever their age.
Each lesson will tackle a different subject - Forming a Group Bond, CATS – Calming Anxiety Tools, The Anger Train, A Stormy Mind vs A Calm Mind, Super Powers - Friendships, confidence & kindness, My Body – The Bank, My Awesome Brain? Moods & Emotions, Celebrating ME – My wins, goals & going forward
Early intervention and giving our kids the skills to cope is incredibly important.
Tanja Sharpe is a qualified Counsellor and Youth Mindfulness practitioner. She is also a parent of a young person on the autism spectrum so has a wealth of knowledge. Further details are available here https://tanjasharpe.com/mindfulness/
ChAPS doesn't have specific funding to provide this, so we will be asking for a donation of £50 per child for the 8 week course.
If you would like your child to receive this essential learning please register their name below. An email will be sent to you from Jo Garner email@example.com confirming if a place is being offered to your child. Any confirmations from Eventbrite are NOT a place being available
If you are not already a member of ChAPS you will also need to email Carey on firstname.lastname@example.org thank you.
