Description

Clergy of any denomination are invited to a day of mindfulness teaching and practice.

The day will be led by Fr Richard Peers, Diocesan Director of Education, Liverpool.

A former primary and secondary teacher and headteacher, Fr Richard has over 25 years’ experience of teaching mindfulness to children and adults and has been practising mindfulness for over 35 years. He is an experienced Spiritual Director and Confessor.

You will start the day with a Mindful Eucharist in the chapel at 9:30 am, or if you would rather, arrive at 10.00am for coffee and tea: teaching begins at 10:30 am. The day will conclude at 3.30pm.

Soup and sandwich lunch will be provided.


The day will include practice of;

- Mindfulness of Breathing

- Loving Kindness Meditation

- Visualisation

- Walking Meditation

The day will address:

- Dealing with Stress

- A Theology of Mindfulness

- Mindfulness for Mission

- Leading Worship Mindfully


The day will end with shared Lectio Divina on Psalm 1.

*Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and, if possible, be prepared to remove your shoes!

*The day will be held in the chapel with an opportunity to walk in the grounds weather permitting.
