Week 1: Coming to our Senses and Relaxation

  • Awareness of needs and qualities (Peace, space, ease etc)
  • Multitasking to simplicity and focus through Mindfulness
  • What is Mindfulness?

Week 2: Grounded Aware Presence (GAP) for Wholeness

  • Grounding
  • Awareness
  • Presence

Week3: Cultivating Natural Focus for Balance

  • Zooming in and zooming out
  • Breath awareness for calming and focus
  • Sustaining a stable focus naturally

Week 4: Stress Resilience, Calm and Mindful Movement

  • Inner Relationship for compassionate connection
  • Creating safety, grounding and acknowledging feelings
  • Mindfulness in motion
  • Mindful Chi Qong technique for anxiety reduction and calming

Week 5: Penny for your thoughts and clearing the mind

  • Thoughts and relieving overwhelm
  • Sensing versus thinking
  • Two triangles model
  • Exploring the nature of thoughts meditation

Week 6: Befriending meditation for healing and wellbeing

Kindness for healing and connection
• Gilberts 3 Modes of Being: Threat, Achieving, Soothing
• Kindness meditation

The course includes:

  • Practical relaxation techniques for applying in pressure situations
  • Formal Mindfulness meditation practice
  • Informal Mindfulness practices for everyday living
  • Mindful Movements, Breathing practices, Mindful Chi Qong
  • A whole host of supportive practices based on Mindfulness
  • Guided meditations (live recordings from the actual sessions posted on Soundcloud)
  • Safe and meaningful community experience in the group sessions

What can you expect in any one session

  • Hear and see the others as you interact and explore Mindfulness
  • Do exercises, demonstrations and receive instructions
  • Have fun while we learn in a playful and welcoming atmosphere
  • Connect with individuals and the whole group (up to 6)
  • Reading and Mindfulness sessions between online sessions

This online course offers a very convenient way of developing your focusing skills providing you with the opportunity to participate from the comfort of home, avoiding travel and whilst enjoying a sense of connection and community. We will use Zoom easy to download with the option to use a free phone based conference facility if need be.

These sessions are offered in a playful and interactive fashion where your personal needs are sovereign. The material will be a mixture of short presentations, guided awareness, relaxation and mindfulness practises and interactive conversation.

Finally, as a means of continued support between sessions, you will be offered recordings of the guided mindfulness meditations and relaxations recorded live in the actual sessions and then posted on Soundcloud.
