This ‘.b Foundations’ mindfulness course is specially designed for school staff. This 8 session course will give you the tools to develop your own mindfulness practice and give you a flavour of the benefits for you at home and at work. This course is open to any member of staff from any primary or secondary school.
Mindfulness can help school staff to:
- Feel happier, calmer and more fulfilled
- Sleep better
- Work more effectively
- Be resilient to stress and difficulties
- Get on better with pupils and colleagues
This course is also a precursor course for staff interested in training to teach mindfulness to pupils. On completion of this course you could then practice the techniques for 6 months before attending a 3-day course to enable you to then deliver mindfulness in the classroom.

Please note that participant should be prepared to spend 20 minutes or more practicing mindfulness most days during the course. You should also acquire the accompanying course text: ‘Mindfulness—Finding Peace in a Frantic World’ and read the first 4 chapters.
Note too that there will be no session at half term (1st June).
