Mindfulness For Teens - ages 10-15
6th - 27th November 1:30pm - 3pm
4 sunday sessions of mindfulness. Children learn techniques to help them manage stress and anxiety, as well as improve their focus and output. Mindfulness not only helps mental and physical wellbeing - but it is a great tool for stimulating the brain to hold greater volumes of information, and improve creative thinking. Mindfulness is now considered a key factor in preparing pupils for secondary school and exam season.
Each week the children will lern 2 new mindfulness practices as well as taking part in group/team building excercises. Homepractice is also set so that children can be encoouraged to bring mindfulness into their daily life.
Course Instructor - Sonya Russo is a fully trained MBCT/MBRP mindfulness instructor and also owner of Waves Mindfulness. She has developed a curriculum for children that engages them in a fun, relaxed setting. Sonya has worked in schools across the London teaching children and teachers mindfulness and is also a youth worker.
Waves also runs courses for adults and the corporate enviroment.
Students are asked to wear loose comfortable clothing and bring cushion/blanket and water.
