Event description


A Seminar for Women who are self-employed, employed, or considering running any type of enterprise.

The event plans to inspire and empower those that attend to aid them in being successful and happy in their lives.

Items that we will aim to cover:

  • Enhancing Focus and awareness in work and home life

  • Prioritising tasks

  • Being more effective

  • Cultivating capacity to self-regulate work loads

  • Building resilience to stress

  • Empowerment through education and sharing life stories

Event Agenda-

2.30 pm: Registration

2.40 pm Opening of event : Cllr Saima Ashraf - Deputy Leader of the Council

2.50 pm: Opening address - Introduction-Passion and Direction

Speaker -Sarah Allman - Founder and Managing Director of award winning health & wellbeing social enterprise Whole Body Therapy, mother of 4, passionate about helping older people in the community and a wearer of many hats.

3.00 pm: Mindfulness coaching session

Speaker-Helena Thomas Watson - Qualified Counsellor and Mindfulness Lecture for 12 years. Director of HTW Counselling services CIC and a fond traveller.

3.35 pm: Direction & Passion

Speaker -Rita Chadha - Currently CEO for Citizens Advice Broxbourne, head of grants and community development for Pathways Housing, Voluntary Chair of Barking & Dagenham CVS, previous CEO of Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London (RAMFEL) and Bikram junkie.

4.05 pm: Break

4.20 pm: NLP/Life coaching session

Speaker- Chris Laney- Chris is a fully qualified NLP practitioner and NCFE accredited Life Coach. Managing Director of Positive Change Consultancy CIC, a mother, a grandmother and a supporter of the community spirit.

4.50 pm: Women's Consortium

Speakers - Question and Answer sessions

Zahra Ibrahim- CEO of Barking & Dagenham Somali Womens Association, founder of Women's Excel Centre, mother of 5, former child refugee and a mentor to others.

Sarah Robertson- CEO of award winning Future M.O.L.D.S Communities, youth & community worker, sports coach, tutor & assessor ,student and a single mother who is passionate about helping people.

Dr Arinola Araba, FRSA MBBS MSc SSE - CEO of bMoneywize, an internationally recognised, award nominee social enterprise, mother and an educator.

Hannah Kupoluyi, Founder and CEO of All Women's Network, Beauty consultant and trainer. Advocate for women's empowerment, a mother and a confidence builder.

5.30 pm: Closing address

Informal networking & feedback

All profits raised from ticket sales will be donated to a local Older peoples exercise and social club called the We Can Do It Club which is run by Whole Body Therapy.

Event managed by Whole Body Therapy and supported by The Women's Consortium.

Free parking on site

Refreshments provided at break and registration are included within the ticket price.

Refreshments during the networking session after the speakers have finished are available to purchase.

Yes please and also sign in at the door.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

It is ok, as long as you register your correct details when you enter the event.

What can I bring into the event?

You are welcome to bring note taking equipment but please ensure phones are turned to silent and that there is no recording permitted without prior approval.
