About the course
This 5-week course is for Black and Brown Communities who want a sage space to learn more about the key principles of Mindfulness and Meditation from a cultural perspective. You will learn how to dedicete to mindful habits, and apply practical techniques to assist you in day to day living.
The course will assist with remaining anchored as you navigate experiences of racism and micro-aggression in the workplace or community. It offers a safe and supportive environment for people of colour to gain self-awareness, to heal from past and current forms of oppression, self-neglect and forms of discrimination and aids in a journey of personal transformation.
To ensure the course is accessible to all, we are offering a sliding scale ranging from £90.00 Full Time, £65.00 Part Time and £40.00 On Means Tested Benefits (**To be eligible for Means tested benefits proof would need to be emailed to kmtrisingltd@gmail.com
Past participants came on the course for many reasons such as: To gain insight, to reduce tension, develop patience, to reduce anxiety, for healing and to renew their commitment towards self-development, to re-enforce a Mindfulness routine, to develop more spiritual awareness, to assist their team of counsellors and therapists, to feel more grounded, internally strong and motivated.
This introductory course assists participants to reduce levels of heightened anxiety and tension when dealing with personal challenges, external factors/events and throughout the lockdown. You will learn how to apply a range of life-enhancing techniques, gain insight and clarity, become more resilient, cope better and improve your well-being through self-awareness

Please bring a notebook and pen with you for the sessions, and ideally be seated in an upright chair. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing to assist you when undertaking the breathing activities.
After the course: You will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course. This counts for 15 CPD Hours. (*At least 4 of the sessions will need to be completed for certification).

About the Trainer - Imani Sorhaindo
PGCE, Diploma in Mindfulness Teaching, Curriculum Management, and Level 5 Leadership & Management, Diploma in Holistic Health, Life-Coaching
Imani is a qualified Holistic Health Practitioner, Equalities Consultant , Mindfulness Trainer, Author, Life-Coach and Teacher. She has been meditating for over 20 years, and currently teaches Mindfulness, Guide Imagery and Meditation to Communities locally, nationally and online globally, as well as within Voluntary and Statutory organisations. Recently delivered at the Manchester Mindfulness Festival 2023 on Social Change, and delivered bespoke training on Unconscious Bias for the Suffolk Youth Justice team, Youth Justice, Prisons, and Ipswich and Colchester Museums.
