Mindfulness & Meditation 2-part Workshop for People of Colour
Overview
Mindfulness & Meditation 2-part Workshop for People of Colour
Hi, my name is Noah, a Ugandan-British man who has been meditating for more than 10 years and who is passionate about wellbeing and self-awareness. I felt inspired to offer something for people of colour who are curious to explore mindfulness and meditation in a culturally affirming space.
I am offering this workshop as part of my training to be a Community Dharma Leader with Gaia House. While the workshop will be informed by Buddhist tradition, it will be offered in a non-religious way - all religious or spiritual backgrounds are welcome.
No experience needed of mindfulness, meditation, buddhism - just come as you are.
Why attend?
- Build awareness and calm to help you navigate this ever-changing world
- Learn practical techniques that work with busy lives
- Connect in a welcoming, culturally affirming space
About the Course
- 6 hours of guided practice and discussion across two afternoons
- Designed for beginners and those with some experience
- Learn tools to support wellbeing, balance, and self-care - so you can show up more fully in the world
- Please only book the second workshop if you have attended the first workshop
This course is offered freely so that finances are not a barrier to those who would like to attend.
If you are in a position to contribute financially, the recommended donation to help towards the cost of hiring the space is £10.
