Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course - 8 weeks for 2 hours each week
The vast majority of people don’t start a course in Mindfulness because they have just fallen in love, won the lottery or received a job promotion. We tend to become interested in this growing science-backed topic when we want to find a pathway to a life of greater happiness, reduced stress and have better relationships. We may also seek understanding of the causes of our physical and psychological suffering in order to prevent future recurrence. Mindfulness practices can provide this pathway and it is increasingly validated by science.
Mindfulness is a life skill, which will enhance your experience of living on a daily basis. It is not a substitute for psychotherapy or counseling, if you are not sure whether mindfulness is suitable for you please consult your GP.

Delivered by two certificated teachers in accordance with the standards for teaching mindfulness. Sessions are great self-development experiences, they are practical and interactive. You learn by experience, building your knowledge each week. Becoming more self-aware, self-caring, empathetic and compassionate. You will become better able to manage your emotions and moods, promoting good mental health, resilience and healthy relationships with family members and peers.
Places are limited to ensure everyone has the space and time they need during each session.

Please note - Commitment
You must be able to attend every session for the eight weeks to obtain your certificate of completion. Please check the schedule of course dates before you book. The MBSR is not a quick fix and requires you to commit to attend each session and complete the required short practices between sessions. It is not group counselling or therapy. It is beneficial to those who wish to adopt a complimentary approach to managing health concerns such as anxiety or mild depression, high blood pressure, ME etc.
