As a registered charity we offer a number of places on a 'pay what you can afford' basis and attendance at an event allows free access to part one of our on-line meditation course.
Have you heard about mindfulness or meditation and want to give it try without having to commit to a long or expensive course? Have you done or started a course and would like to continue the benefit by meditating mindfully with others? Have you read a book or downloaded an app and given it a try on your own at home but don't feel like you are getting anywhere or you are not sure if you are doing it right? Are you an experienced mindful meditator of many years who knows the benefit of joining with others to deepen the experience? Are you new to the area and looking for an affordable friendly group where you can continue your practise? Are you looking to return to a meditation practise after some time away? Are you looking for a genuinely non-religious meditation practise?
Our mindfulness session facilitator and meditation course leader, Stephen Davies, has over 25 years experience of studying, practising and teaching a variety of mindfulness meditation and relaxation techniques and has completed a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course with a certified instructor, modeled on the program founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and has also completed the professional BSY Meditation Teacher Diploma course and will become a Registered BSY Meditation Teacher (formerly the British School of Yoga, established in 1946) in early 2017. Stephen has attended many meditation retreats in the UK, Italy and India.
