If you are a helping professional in Healthcare, Social care, Wellbeing, Education, or a Charity, you’re likely accustomed to being caring and compassionate towards others. Yet, offering that same nurturing energy to ourselves often feels more difficult.
In these challenging times, as services face increasing pressure, staff wellbeing has become a critical issue. More than ever, it’s clear that practising relaxation and self-compassion is essential—not only for emotional healing and burnout prevention, but also for supporting others from a place of balance and care.
If this resonates, I invite you to join a gentle, nurturing space for helping professionals. These gatherings will guide you through mindfulness, self-compassion meditations, visualizations, slow body movement, and relaxation practices.
Research shows that Mindful Self-Compassion (Neff & Germer, 2013) can help caregivers reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while increasing life satisfaction. Similarly, Van der Kolk (2014) highlights the power of Embodied practices—such as yoga, dance, and somatic experiencing—in helping individuals reconnect with their bodies and heal trauma.
