A mindfulness workshop is a great introduction to mindfulness and the mindfulness based approaches (MBSR and MBCT) as taught and designed by Prof. Jon Kabat-Zinn. It will also teach how mindfulness can be used in healthcare and education.
You will have the opportunity to experience all the different mindfulness meditation techniques that are used in the mindfulness courses:
• Mindfulness of the breath
• Body Scan meditation
• Loving Kindness / Compassion meditation
• Mindful body movements (including Mindful Walking outside if weather permits)
The workshop will be conducted by our Mindfulness teacher Bhante Rewatha Thero, who is an experienced meditator for more than 30 years, from the Glasgow Mindfulness Centre and Scotland's Buddhist Vihara.
This session is free and open to everyone. Donations are welcome to cover the costs.
You can bring your own lunch, or buy from the city during the lunch break.
