About this Event

Mental ill-health is one of the biggest barriers to workforce productivity and retention. At this intimate roundtable event, explore how you can support the wellbeing needs of your workforce - and discover a source of untapped talent.

Agenda

  • 9 am: Registration and coffee
  • 9.30 am: Background and context. Ex-offenders represent huge untapped potential for employers looking for new talent. Explore the wellbeing needs of this talent pool and what support is required to maximse their potential for your business. Asi Panditharatna, Director of Employment Services, Forward Trust
  • 10 am – 10.40 am: Accessing funded support. Find out what opportunities are open to you to support wellbeing in your workplace. Partner presentation from Able futures about the funded access to work mental health support service

  • 10.40 am - 11.00am :Partner presentation from Right steps on the support and services that they have for employers in the uk
  • 11 am – 11.45 am: Roundtable discussion. Key questions:
  1. What additional support and funding do employers most need to support workforce wellbeing?
  2. What examples of best practice are there?
  3. What are the biggest challenges employers face in recruiting and retaining ex-offenders?
  • 11.45 am – 12.00 am: Wrap up and next steps.
  • 12.00 pm – 1.00 pm: Networking and coffee
