Who is this for?

This seminar is for anyone training to become better tomorrow than they are today. Whether you're going for Regionals, or just trying to live a happier, healthier life, your mindset and your beliefs determine how likely you are to succeed in your goal.

What do I get/learn?

What this workshop will deliver is a method for overcoming the mental hurdles in between you and where you want to be. If you're inconsistent in your training, nutrition or mobility, I will help you get rid of those gremlins that tell you to take a day off or self-sabotage.

If you find your mind prevents you from pushing hard enough in WODs, it will take you through my process for fixing that. So next time you feel too tired, or you feel lazy, or you just want to take it easy, it''ll show you why your mind is telling you that lie. In short, the workshop will teach you to embrace intensity and hardship.

If you are someone who struggles with selfdoubt, feeling overwhelmed or just want to get a grip on your thoughts, it will show you how to take a step back and see the situation for what it is - meaning you can choose the action that will help you most. It'll be showing you the four mindset models and why one size never fits all when it comes down to mindset. Everyone needs a unique approach and the workshop will show you how to find that. You'll also learn the 2 tools that will allow you to tap into what you're really telling yourself hundreds of times a day. Oh, andyou'll get a free copy of my book too :)

Why is this important?

Almost no one is using their mindset effectively to achieve what they want to achieve. It is the most important factor in whatever your current goal is. Your mindset is what keeps you consistent, enables you to make better decisions and get out of your comfort zone. Basically a person's mindset is the only true predictor of success. You can have the best coaches in the world covering your nutrition, training and mobility, but if you don't have the mindset to make the most of it, none of that matters.

How long does it take?

The workshop is like Daenerys from Game of Thrones (no, there won't be dragons); on the surface it's elegant and slender - in its heart; powerful beyond measure. The 2h 30m will impact your training forever after and provide you with the tools to master your inner athlete.

Isn't mindset coaching just for people who need therapy or who just want to sit there and meditate?

No - the commonality between almost all high performers in sport, business, relationships and life in general is they understand their mindset and have worked on it (knowingly or not). Andre Agassi, Tony Robbins, Annie Thorisdottir, Rich Froning, Tim Ferriss, Christmas Abbott... they've all got the mindset of a champion. Their mindset has facilitated their training to get to that point, kept them on track and allowed them to push hard when others wanted to quit. Mindset is for A-players too.

Who are you?

I run The Alpha Movement; a service for functional athletes of all abilities who want to master their Inner Athlete. It's a podcast, coaching service and movement that places mindset where it should be; at the forefront of any goal.

The podcast has had such greats as Chris Spealler, Brian Mackenzie, Kelly Starrett, Jami Tikannen, AJ Roberts, Laura Faulkner, Matt Chan, Chris Moore, Julien Pineau, Richard Aceves, James Fitzgerald, Ryan Hurst, Dom D'Agostino, Mike Burgener, Seth Godin, Keith Pettit, Andy Galpin and so many more. From the lessons these greats have taught me, and from my own experience as a CrossFit coach who's racked up 10,000 hours of 1-2-1 and group coaching, I've created a system that creates the Functional Mindset. I’ve also written the book The “Impossible” Art of Consistency, and I'm about to release a second.

Is it a bunch of tree-hugging and "omm"-ing my way to enlightenment?

If that's what helps you perform at your best, then yeah - go for it! But for most, it isn't. It's a proven, science-based, practical approach that utilises simple and effective techniques, not manifestation.
