From 10-15th March. Open daily 10am to 5pm. Sessions last 40-60 mins in total. Arrive at least 20 mins before your booked slot.
Enter our black box cinema, and be fitted with an EEG headset, then by following our simple mindfulness meditation instructions you can experiment with how much you can control your own mind and physiological state... You will also see and hear what brainwaves look like when transformed into MindART.
Have your EEG recorded and create your own MindART to be displayed in our MindGallery!
In each cinema screening, two slots are available with EEG headsets and two slots are available with headphones only for those who would like to take part without having their own EEG recordings taken.
For those who do not wish to participate in the black box cinema, there will be information in our welcome area.
The experience begins on the hour from 11.00am, every hour and the last entry is at 4pm. Please arrive 20 minutes beforehand for the welcome, introduction, questionnaire and EEG headset set up. Some slots are reserved for walk-in participants.
The EEG data collected from those who participate in this installation will, with consent, inform scientific research in the Consciousness and Cognition Lab (Bekinschtein Lab) and help answer questions about brain activity differences in varying states of consciousness.
